I grew up in eastern North Carolina and started playing with electronics and computers when I was a kid. As an undergrad I worked on embedded systems, medical implants, molecular electronics, and underwater robotics. My current research interests include the development of microfabricated systems which enable quantitative cellular biology and medical diagnostics.
