My research has been focused on tracking single fluorescent nanodiamond in live-cells and characterizing the dynamics of single DNA polymers in nano-fluidic channels. More recently, I work on a simple approach to fabricate controllable biaxial and uniaxial nanowrinkles and nanopetals based on shape memory polymer sheets. We demonstrate utility of these nano structures with ready integration into microchannels and effectiveness in metal enhance fluorescence (MEF). My current interest is surface plasmon based sensing such as surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), plasmon resonance energy transfer (PRET) and MEF at single-molecular level.
