 | Augusto Tentori Ph.D. Student, Bioengineering B.S., Biological Engineering (2009) Massachusetts Institute of Technology Hometown: Tegucigalpa, Honduras I grew up abroad in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras. Honduras is a small country of about 8 million people located in the heart of Central America. Both my parents went to school in the Northeast, and coincidentally I ended up going to MIT for my bachelor's degree. As an undergrad, I got involved in different research projects such as the study of DNA damage, the design of brain electrodes, the use of optical neurons to treat neural diseases, and the sensing of biomolecules through magnetic levitation. My current research goals are to develop better technology for the quantitative study of biology and medicine. |
